Egyptian Chick Magazine April 2017 Jan Gallione Tribute This month's issue was a joy to write as it was a tribute to my former belly dance pupil Jan Gallione. The artist who passed away in a car accident at age thirty five really represents a certain time in NYC when art was still thriving and eclectic. The article about my long lost friend and protégé turned into a memoir of a neighborhood too-centered around my street "West Fifty Seventh." Soon, a biography will be released and we can learn even more about Jan's later life including her marriage to one of the artist sons of Sir Terry Frost, the famed abstract expressionist.
