Aziza Al-Tawil's World

On a lovely day in March that was a rare 84 degrees we did a photo shoot at the State Capitol of WV.  I wore a black beach dress from "Venus" and some of my own jewelry creations. Saw a lot of beautiful wildlife too like birds and squirrels. Returned home from a thrilling trip to Los Angeles where I won the top prize on "You Bet Your Life" and did some celebratory photo shoots. The show was taped last September and finally aired on February 8th, 2022. The episode is called "Goat Yoga" and is Episode 123 of Season 1. There is some other fun news coming soon about the direction my acting career is taking. For this photo shoot I went all out with a 1960's look. So much fun with a hot pink paisley crop top with ruffled sleeves, velvet tight pants, and some sexy black Spanish looking shoes. The jewelry as usual was mostly stuff of my own creation. Hi Everyone! A lot has been happening since I last posted. The film I was in "The Grave Caller"(2018) came out on "TubiTV" (It's also known as simply "Grave Caller" not sure why the distributor initially dropped the "The.") While I've been happy the film is doing well it's been very sad to see and experience the events in the world as of late. The "Covid 19" pandemic has been very sad and of course, very dangerous! While in "Quarantine," "Shelter in Place," or whatever you might want to call going out for food about once every ten days or so and hunkering down at home the rest of the time, I decided to use this time to be "creative." So Billy Jack Watkins and I decided to do what we do best and that is "Act!" I've given my life to the preservation of lost steps of traditional belly dance as danced by the elders who did it since childhood. They did it in a time when there was no "mass media" and a new fad did not come along every fifteen minutes. A bad bout with respiratory problems put a delay on production of a new video dedicated to the dance as I knew it from elder immigrants from Greece and parts of Turkey and the Middle East and Asia Minor. Aziza Al-Tawil is proud to announce that Joseph Anderson's "Grave Caller" is now available on "iTunes" for rental and full purchase. In the film, Aziza plays "Matilda" a local psychic in 1980's Alderson, WV. whose ineptitude at her craft lead to some interesting moments with the leading man Jacob Crickenberger. The film is essentially a very sensitive and passionate love story about two couples in 2 different eras who are linked in a sort of "generational family curse." Vanessa Cuccia and the Chapel Aflame This is Aziza's first speaking role in a feature length film and marks a comeback of sorts for her in the world of acting. For inspiration in her role she channeled Shelley Winters, Annie Potts, and Holly Hunter. Aziza also got to create her own wardrobe and wear her own mystical jewelry designs. Actress, singer, dancer Aziza Al-Tawil has worn many "hats" in her career. The one thing that always eluded her that she wanted to pursue was acting in film. She loved the old Hollywood movies as a kid in NYC so this became her dream since a young age. After some training with some great acting teachers when she was able to fit it in, she worked as an extra at Disney (One time with Alan Alda and Carol Kane) and then because of her life's circumstances quit pursuing her dream. Wanting to prove that "It's never too late" however, she did decided to take a stab at this film acting thing again.  First she wrote some demos playing the late Elizabeth Taylor. As the announcement about Joseph Anderson's "Gravecaller" is set to be revealed in the next few weeks, a new "Scream Queen" readies to make her mark in the world of "Indie Horror." Aziza Al-Tawil, the actress who plays the flaky, fraudulent psychic in the aforementioned flick, has prepared for this exciting season with a "Halloween Photo Shoot." She is also currently on the set of "Dark Gathering 2: The Hunt for Pristinia" - her annual "Halloween Short" with Billy Jack Watkins. The original "Dark Gathering" from 2015 can be seen on YouTube.
