I Now Have 3 Things in Common with Anna Maria Horsford!
Well, I always knew I had 2 things in common with the wonderful actress Anna Maria Horsford. We shared the same birthday and are both native New Yorkers. Now, I can say we have another connection and that is that we have both lent our voices to the "Vaccine Vignettes" podcast series designed by a team of creatives to bring awareness to the importance of the vaccine in preventing the spread of Covid-19 during the trying and depressing pandemic that has literally gripped the world.
My appearance is in the final installment of the series "Vaccine Day" (written by Jamie Johnson) about a young lesbian couple plotting their escape from a a West Virginia gone amok with "right wing" "anti vaxxer" "militias" and politicians who would rather institute "martial law" to keep "outsiders" out of the state than to encourage people to get the vaccine to quell the spread. I got to dig deep into memories of my aunts who have long passed, who lived way out in the country away from urbanization to develop a feeling for my "character" of "Grandma." Some of my aunts were "sweet" and perhaps "tough," but not necessarily "mean" and there is a difference indeed. Hopefully, those qualities are evident in "Grandma."

Shortly, after the podcast was released I found myself watching Anna Maria Horsford in "A Madea Christmas." She was a joy to watch and I'm proud we worked on the same project together with "Vaccine Vignettes" though on different dates at different times. Perhaps one day these two "Pisces" will meet in person!
